Christel
Step into the world of Christel Veraart, an acclaimed composer, singer, and lyricist whose musical journey defies geographical and genre boundaries. Hailing from the Netherlands, her foundation in classical piano and voice was established across Maastricht, London, Paris, and Buenos Aires, setting the stage for her musical career.
After moving the the US, Christel further honed her skills through orchestration studies at Berklee College of Music. Embracing electronic music, sound design, and graphic design, she reshaped her creative identity beyond conventional limits.
To date Christel has released 10 albums and numerous singles that span a variety of genres. Her compositions have graced stages, films, and dance productions globally. Awards, grants, and industry recognition, including the esteemed “Best Ambient Album of the Year” for her album “Pleiades” in 2020, underscore her work. Recently, Google tapped into Christel’s expertise for their projects.
In 2021, Christel Veraart and Sedona Ballet’s Winifred Muench co-founded Reflections Festival, a homage to the finest in the Performing, Literary & Visual Arts. A collaboration of dedicated professionals spanning various art forms, they unveiled ‘Merope’, a captivating short art film, marking the inaugural chapter of the Festival, now making waves at global film festivals.
Christel’s world travels and diverse cultural encounters have enriched her journey, showcasing the universal language of melody and emotion. She seamlessly weaves diverse musical traditions and languages, crafting compositions that resonate worldwide. Proficient in multiple languages, her work not only captivates sonically but also resonates culturally.
